FAQ
Common questions
Pricing, remote vs. onsite, what I work on, and how to get started — answered straight.
Do you work remotely or onsite?
Both. A lot of IT support — and all custom application development — I handle remotely. When something needs hands on the hardware (networking, a new build-out, onsite troubleshooting), I come to you. We figure out which makes the most sense for your situation.
What areas do you serve?
Onsite work is based in central Illinois. Remote support and app development I provide well beyond that — distance isn’t a barrier for anything that doesn’t need me physically on site.
How much do you charge?
Business IT services are $180/hour with a one-hour minimum. Residential IT services are $100/hour with a one-hour minimum. Custom application development is quoted per project, since scope varies — reach out and I’ll give you a straight answer.
How quickly do you respond?
Fast — often the same day. If I can fix your issue remotely I’ll get on it right away; if it needs an onsite visit, I work to schedule it promptly.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
Both businesses and homeowners — from a single household or home office up to larger operations setting up networks, servers, and security across a building.
Do you handle security?
Yes. Beyond everyday IT, I hold offensive-security certifications (OSCP and Certified Red Team Operator) on top of CompTIA A+, Network+, and IT Operations Specialist — so firewalls, hardening, and security work are in genuinely capable hands.
Can you build custom software or apps?
Yes. I build custom applications that turn manual, paper-and-pen processes into software that fits how you actually work — practical tools built around your workflow, not the other way around.
How do I get started?
Call or email — those are the fastest ways to reach me. Tell me what you’re running into and I’ll point you in the right direction.
